Our veterinarians are ready to perform almost any surgery for your pet, from common procedures such as spays and neuters to orthopedic procedures, such as hip dysplasia and fracture repairs, performed by a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Our support staff also includes a board-certified soft-tissue surgery specialist, for procedures such as splenectomies (removal of the spleen), ear canal resections, biopsies and other procedures. Our operating rooms are fully-equipped, with IV fluid pumps, oxygen therapy, heating pads and other equipment. Urban Vets Animal Hospital also has a cancer staging and treatment area, including bone and bone marrow biopsy, chemotherapy and on-site surgery.
For pets that require extra care following an accident or emergency, we offer a temperature-controlled intensive care unit, capable of serving dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and pocket pets.
